Why MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Device

MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Advanced Skin Renewing Device, Nano-Matrix® patented fractional laser technology
Non-ablative Fractional Laser

We employ a nanoscale fractional laser technology that is the same as that used in professional medical aesthetic devices. However, many products on the market still rely on the energy-distributed large spot technology, which represents a fundamental technological gap.

Advantage of the Fractional Technology

The core advantage of the fractional technology lies not in the area it covers per single application, but in the fact that it can divide the laser into millions of extremely tiny beams. Our individual micro-beam has a diameter of only 100 micrometers, ensuring that the energy is highly concentrated and precisely directed to the dermis layer, thereby efficiently stimulating collagen production while avoiding unnecessary damage to the epidermis.

Mimisilk Iris 1450nm Laser
200x
More Powerful than Traditional LED

LED light does not penetrate deeply enough to stimulate collagen production in the dermis and typically only affects the epidermis and shallow dermis. While LED can improve circulation and stimulate cellular activity, its collagen-stimulating effects are inconsistent and superficial, offering less lasting improvement compared to the deep, science-backed results achieved with Iris 1450nm.

Mimisilk Iris 1450nm laser
20x
Deeper than Collagen Creams

Our laser energy stimulates fibroblast activity in the dermis, directly promoting collagen and elastin production, leading to long-term skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. In contrast, collagen creams consist of collagen molecules that are too large to penetrate the skin’s barrier, so they only affect the outermost layer, the epidermis. While collagen creams may improve superficial hydration and texture temporarily, they don’t stimulate collagen production in the dermis, offering no substantial long-term effects on skin rejuvenation or wrinkle reduction.

    • Exclusive patented magnetic levitation phased technology enables the customization of each swing arm, hovering, and light emission sequence within milliseconds. 12 minutes can accommodate over 10,000 light beams, achieving uniform coverage of the entire face compared to the stamping method, with no limit on the number of flashes, and it is stable and precise.
    • Suitable for independent operation by users.

  • Who can use the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Device?

The MimiSilk Iris laser can be used by anyone over the age of 18. It is safe to use and suitable for all skin types and tones.

    1. Do not use it while your skin has skin diseases, wounds, scabs, bleeding, sunburns, tanned skin, or other similar conditions.
    2. Pregnant women and people under 18 years old are not allowed to use this device.
    3. This device is not waterproof; do not store or use it in a humid environment.
    4. Do not look directly at the scanning window when the device is turned on.
    5. Do not use the device while it is charging.

If you are sensitive to light or have taken photosensitizing medications, please do not use this device. If you are unsusulfonease, take a photosensitivity test before using the device. If you are taking medications known to enhance photosensitivity, please do not use this device, as it may cause severe side effects. Such medications include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used for pain relief and inflammation reduction, as well as antibiotics, including tetracyclines and sulfonamides.

  • What areas of the skin can I treat with the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Device?

The device is designed with 5 scanning areas separately based on facial features:

    FOREHEAD
    PERIORBITAL(left and right)
    CHEEK(left and right)
    UPPER LIP
    CHIN

Based on your needs, you can select one or multiple areas for scanning. The indicators for the chosen areas will be brightly lit, while the unselected regions will stay dimly lit.

Tips: Iris 1450nm is tailored for facial skincare but can also be applied to the neck, chest, and hands. It is FDA-approved for treating wrinkles around the eyes and has been shown to be safe on all skin areas, excluding the thyroid region, regardless of skin type or tone. Many users have noted visible wrinkle reduction on the face, neck, chest, and hands. For these areas, we suggest using the FOREHEAD mode.

  • How long should the treatment be performed on each area?

Our device divides the entire face into five smart zones. The duration for each zone varies depending on the setting. At the same setting, the upper lip and periorbital area have the shortest treatment times, while the forehead and cheeks take longer. The total treatment time for the full face is approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Additionally, two beeping sounds will alert you when the treatment for each zone is finished.

  • Does Iris 1450nm hurt? Are there any side effects?

For most individuals, the treatment process is almost painless. For first-time users, we recommend starting with level 1 and progressing to higher levels if tolerated. Compared to the large-spot laser, our fractional laser does have a stronger stinging sensation, especially when using levels 2 or 3 for the first time. This also indicates that the device is working correctly.

For sensitive skin, we suggest reducing usage frequency to build skin tolerance, such as 1-2 times per week. Here are three tips that might help:
    1. Use stamping instead of scanning to lessen discomfort.
    2. Apply ice to the skin before treatment to help it adapt more quickly.
    3. Taking a deep breath before use is also helpful, as many customers have mentioned.

It is normal to experience slight redness after treatment. This should fade within 15-20 minutes after applying a facial mask, with no recovery period needed.

  • How to use the Iris 1450nm device?

    Step 1: Cleaning.
Deeply cleanse the face and dry.

    Step 5: Sun Protection
Sunscreen with SPF30+ PA++++ is recommended. The sun hat and sunglasses will enhance sun protection.

Frequency of Use: 3-4 times per week, on alternate days. After 8 weeks of use, discontinue use for 4 weeks before resuming this cycle.

  • Can I use contact gel with the Iris 1450nm device?

The home-use laser device does not require gel, as it might interfere with light output and does not help reduce pain (if there is any). Other beauty devices, such as those using radiofrequency and microcurrent, use gel to conduct electricity.

For most people, the treatment process is nearly painless. For first-time users, we recommend starting with level 1 and progressing to higher levels if tolerated. Compared to the large-spot laser, our fractional laser produces a stronger stinging sensation, especially at levels 2 or 3 for the first time. This also indicates that the device is functioning properly.

  • Frequency of MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Use?
    1. The core period involves 3-4 sessions per week, and the entire process of collagen activation lasts for 8 consecutive weeks. This helps to invigorate the skin, activate the repair mechanism, and is the crucial stage for achieving significant results.
    2. Entering the 4-week rest period, the use will be suspended for 4 weeks. The achievements of the core period will be consolidated to allow the skin sufficient time to recover, adjust, and avoid excessive use.
    3. Then repeat the "8+4" cycle continuously to ensure that the skin remains in good condition for a long time.

Tips: If during the "8+4" cycle, there is an interruption of 2 weeks or more, it is recommended to restart the 8+4 cycle to ensure the regeneration effect of collagen.

  • How long does it take to see results?

Generally, there will be a relatively obvious effect within 8 weeks. The functions of controlling oil, smoothing skin, shrinking pores, and reducing fine lines have generally shown significant effects after 4 weeks of use.

    1. Significant improvements in skin fine and skin elasticity problems were observed in 83% of subjects, with an average reduction of 43% and a maximum reduction of 62%.

    2. In 89.7% of the subjects with large pores, uneven skin color, and dark color, the average improvement of light spots was 71%, and the highest improvement was 87%.

    3. 79% of the subjects had significant repair of facial skin collagen with average collagen growth.

    4. All subjects with blemish marks and pits, after use, blemish marks and pits have a significant reduction, an average improvement of 71%, and he highest improvement of 89%.

  • Why does collagen regeneration take 60 days?

The 3-Phase Timeline of Collagen Regeneration: 1. Inflammatory Phase (Days 1-5), 2. Proliferative Phase (Days 5-21), 3. Remodeling & Maturation Phase (Weeks 3 to 6+ months, peaking around 60 days). This is the critical, time-consuming phase that defines the "60-day" timeline.

Aesthetic Treatments (Lasers, Microneedling, Radiofrequency): These procedures create controlled micro-injuries to stimulate this process. The peak of neocollagenesis typically occurs between 4 and 12 weeks, with "60 days" (or 8 weeks) serving as a common clinical milestone to assess initial results. Therefore, the recommended use of Iris 1450nm involves continuous application for 8 weeks, followed by a 4-week break. Then, repeat the "8+4" cycle consistently to maintain optimal skin condition over time.

  • How is MimiSilk Iris 1450nm laser technology different from the Non-fractional laser?

    1. We employ the Non-Ablative Fractional Laser(NAFL) technology that is the same as that used in professional medical aesthetic devices. However, other products on the market still rely on the energy-distributed large spot technology, Non-Ablative Non-Fractional Laser, which represents a fundamental technological gap.

    2. Core parameters: The core advantage of the fractional technology lies not in the area it covers per single application, but in the fact that it can divide the laser into millions of extremely tiny beams. Our individual micro-beam has a diameter of only 100 micrometers, ensuring that the energy is highly concentrated and precisely directed to the dermis layer, thereby efficiently stimulating collagen production while avoiding unnecessary damage to the epidermis.

    3. Comparison of results: In contrast, the energy of the large spot technology (such as 2x2mm) is significantly attenuated during transmission, making it difficult to deliver sufficient energy to the dermis layer to generate an effective photothermal effect. The result is naturally greatly compromised.

In summary, the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm laser boasts greater power and efficiency, resulting in faster collagen regeneration. However, compared to large-spot lasers, our segmented laser causes a more noticeable stinging sensation. Mild redness and swelling may occur after use, but this usually subsides within 15 to 20 minutes, requiring no recovery period.

  • How would NAFL technology be different than fracture RF?

NAFL is like a team of skilled archers (laser beams) firing arrows that create precise, deep pins of injury in a fortress wall (your dermis). The wall then repairs itself stronger at each arrow point.

Fracture RF is like a team of sappers with heated spears (microneedles). They physically penetrate deep into the wall's foundation, deliver heat, and as they pull out, they create small cracks. This damages both the wall's surface and its underlying structure, prompting a more extensive rebuild at the foundation level, which can also affect the ground (fat layer) beneath it.

In essence: Choose NAFL for excellent texture and tone improvement with no downtime. Choose Fracture RF when your main goals are tightening, lifting, and contouring-especially if you want to address excess fat.

  • What's the difference between MimiSilk Iris 1450nm and other skincare options(LED and Microcurrent Therapy, Collagen Creams)?

Iris 1450nm vs. LED Red Light Therapy

Iris 1450nm is 200x more powerful than traditional LED Red Light Therapy, which operates using low-level light in the 500-1200nm range.

    Iris 1450nm vs. Microcurrent Therapy

Microcurrent Therapy works by delivering low-level electrical currents to facial muscles, which mimic the body’s natural electrical signals. The primary action of microcurrent is on the muscles, where it can temporarily tighten and tone by improving circulation. However, microcurrent does not penetrate the dermis deeply enough to stimulate collagen production, limiting its effects to temporary muscle toning and superficial lifting rather than collagen remodeling or skin rejuvenation.

    Iris 1450nm vs. Collagen Creams

Iris 1450nm is about 20x deeper than the surface-level hydration provided by collagen creams.

  • Do you ship to my country? Do I need to pay customs duties?

We currently ship to the United States, Canada, Australia, the European Union, and selected Asian countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and Hong Kong SAR, etc. We offer prepaid duties for all shipments.

  • Can I travel with the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Device?

Yes, it's portable, wireless devices that travel well. Each laser is small enough to fit in a carry-on bag, does not need to be plugged in for use, and contains a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. If possible, we recommend packing the device in its original packaging to avoid damage.

  • Can the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm be used concurrently with cosmetic treatments, such as RLT, RF, microcurrent, or hyaluronic acid injections? Any precautions?
    1. If you plan to use the RLT[Red Light Therapy around 600nm-850nm] device, a 24-hour interval is generally recommended. However, we suggest using it during the 4-week rest period after 8 weeks of using the Iris 1450nm to prevent a small amount of RLT waves from reaching the dermis layer and hindering collagen regeneration.
    2. The RF device and the Iris 1450nm device should be operated at least 24 hours apart.
    3. After microcurrent treatment, wait at least 12 hours before using the MimiSilk Iris, unless there is no visible redness or discomfort.
    4. After a Pico Laser treatment, wait 30 days before using the MimiSilk Iris. Similarly, after hyaluronic acid or other injectable treatments, it’s recommended to wait 30 days before using the MimiSilk Iris.
  • Are there any side effects, and what are the solutions?

After each use, the skin may experience a slight redness. In rare cases, due to improper operation or the skin's intolerance to the high-level energy, scabs, blisters or pigmentation may occur. The corresponding solutions include: applying a soothing and moisturizing mask immediately after use, applying a lotion, essence and cream, and applying physical and chemical sunscreen the next day when going out.

  • Can Iris 1450nm be used in conjunction with Nova 830nm/415nm?

For people prone to acne, we recommend using Nova 830nm/415nm and Iris 1450nm. During the period when acne is prone to occur, use Nova 830nm first to treat the acne. Once the redness and inflammation subside, then use Iris 1450nm to eliminate acne marks, acne pits, replenish collagen, and ultimately achieve smooth skin (avoiding areas of damaged and swollen skin on the face).

  • Can MimiSilk Iris 1450nm be used alongside the laser treatment?

The MimiSilk Iris 1450nm and the laser treatment program at the beauty clinic are not mutually exclusive. They can even be used together: After the laser facial treatment is completed offline, there is usually a recovery period. Once the face is free from any damage or redness, our Iris 1450nm can be used in combination to achieve better stabilization and enhance collagen regeneration. If the laser treatment from the beauty clinic is used in conjunction for a long time, we recommend following the frequency of using it every other day and strictly adhering to the "8+4" weeks periodically is not necessary.

For users with deep acne scars, they can combine "beauty clinic fractional laser treatment" (such as 1565nm non-ablative laser) with Iris 1450nm as "post-treatment maintenance". This not only enhances the effect but also prolongs the maintenance period of the beauty clinic treatment.

Of course, from a cost perspective, Iris 1450nm is the most cost-effective choice. It comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee, a 2-year warranty, and a 5-year lifespan for only $599.

  • Can 1450nm eliminate or fade scars?

1450nm is a fractional laser and is not recommended for use on hyperplastic scars. It may be effective on other types of scars in theory, but we have not conducted any relevant test reports. Please consult a dermatologist before use.

  • Is MimiSilk Iris 1450nm effective in reducing redness?

MimiSilk Iris 1450nm is suitable for general redness problems. If the skin is severely red and swollen, causing significant dilation of capillaries and accompanied by a weakened skin barrier function (with mild itching or pain), it is recommended first to repair the skin barrier (for example, using skin care products containing keratin and panthenol). After the swelling subsides(without mild itching or pain), conduct a small-scale test first. If there is no obvious allergic reaction, then start using it.

  • Is MimiSilk Iris 1450nm effective in deep acne scars?

The effect of "deep acne scars" will weaken, and the usage period needs to be extended. The specific duration depends on the type of acne scar:
    1. Effective type: such as "boxcar" and "rolling" acne scars (depth less than 200 micrometers), a slight filling effect can be seen 8 weeks later, and the effect will be more obvious 12 to 16 weeks later.
    2. Limited effect type: such as "icepick" acne scars (depth greater than 300 micrometers, narrow opening, deep bottom), since the laser only acts on the superficial layer of the dermis (300 to 600 micrometers), it cannot reach the bottom of the acne scar, 8 weeks may only improve the roughness at the tip of the scar, and it needs to be extended to 24 weeks (6 months), and combined with level 3 settings (requiring skin adaptation) to see the deepening of the scar;
    3. Recommendation: Users with deep acne scars can combine "clinic fractional laser" (such as 1565nm non-ablative laser), and use the home equipment as "post-treatment maintenance". This not only enhances the effect but also extends the maintenance period after clinic treatment.

  • How to clean and store the Iris 1450nm device?

Cleaning: To clean the emitting window, dampen a soft cloth with clean water or an alcohol solution containing no more than 10% alcohol.

Charging and Storage: Charge the device as needed. After use and cleaning, store the device in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.

  • How often should I charge iris 1450nm device?

The Iris 1450nm device can be used at least 3-4 times on a single charge. When the power is low, a yellow light will flash to notify you to recharge it promptly.
