• Who can use the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Device?

  The MimiSilk Iris laser can be used by anyone over the age of 18. It is safe to use and suitable for all skin types and tones.

  1. Do not use it while your skin has skin diseases, wounds, scabs, bleeding, sunburns, tanned skin, or other similar conditions.
  2. Pregnant women and people under 18 years old are not allowed to use this device.
  3. This device is not waterproof; do not store or use it in a humid environment.
  4. Do not look directly at the scanning window when the device is turned on.
  5. Do not use the device while it is charging.

  If you are sensitive to light or have taken photosensitizing medications, please do not use this device. If you are unsusulfonease, take a photosensitivity test before using the device. If you are taking medications known to enhance photosensitivity, please do not use this device, as it may cause severe side effects. Such medications include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used for pain relief and inflammation reduction, as well as antibiotics, including tetracyclines and sulfonamides.

• What areas of the skin can I treat with the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm Device?

  The device is designed with 5 scanning areas separately based on facial features:

  FOREHEAD
  PERIORBITAL（left and right)
  CHEEK（left and right)
  UPPER LIP
  CHIN

  Based on your needs, you can select one or multiple areas for scanning. The indicators for the chosen areas will be brightly lit, while the unselected regions will stay dimly lit.

  Tips: Iris 1450nm is tailored for facial skincare but can also be applied to the neck, chest, and hands. It is FDA-approved for treating wrinkles around the eyes and has been shown to be safe on all skin areas, excluding the thyroid region, regardless of skin type or tone. Many users have noted visible wrinkle reduction on the face, neck, chest, and hands. For these areas, we suggest using the FOREHEAD mode.

• How long should the treatment be performed on each area?

  Our device divides the entire face into five smart zones. The duration for each zone varies depending on the setting. At the same setting, the upper lip and periorbital area have the shortest treatment times, while the forehead and cheeks take longer. The total treatment time for the full face is approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Additionally, two beeping sounds will alert you when the treatment for each zone is finished.

• Does Iris 1450nm hurt? Are there any side effects?

  For most individuals, the treatment process is almost painless. For first-time users, we recommend starting with level 1 and progressing to higher levels if tolerated. Compared to the large-spot laser, our fractional laser does have a stronger stinging sensation, especially when using levels 2 or 3 for the first time.   For sensitive skin, we suggest reducing usage frequency to build skin tolerance, such as 1-2 times per week. Here are three tips that might help:
  1. Use stamping instead of scanning to lessen discomfort.

  It is normal to experience slight redness after treatment. This should fade within 15-20 minutes after applying a facial mask, with no recovery period needed.

• How to use the Iris 1450nm device?

  Step 1: Cleaning. 
  Deeply cleanse the face and dry.

  Step 2: Turn On & Full-face Scanning
  Five major areas: Forehead, Periorbital, Cheek, Upper Lip, and Chin. Ensure the device contacts the skin at a 90° angle.                                                            

  Step 3: Turn Off
  If not used for more than 3 minutes, the device will shut down automatically.

  Step 4: Hydration & Repair

  The home-use laser device does not require gel, as it might interfere with light output and does not help reduce pain (if there is any). Other beauty devices, such as those using radiofrequency and microcurrent, use gel to conduct electricity.

• Can the MimiSilk Iris 1450nm be used concurrently with cosmetic treatments, such as RLT, RF, microcurrent, or hyaluronic acid injections? Any precautions?
  1. If you plan to use the RLT[Red Light Therapy around 600nm-850nm] device, a 24-hour interval is generally recommended. However, we suggest using it during the 4-week rest period after 8 weeks of using the Iris 1450nm to prevent a small amount of RLT waves from reaching the dermis layer and hindering collagen regeneration.
  2. The RF device and the Iris 1450nm device should be operated at least 24 hours apart.
  3. After microcurrent treatment, wait at least 12 hours before using the MimiSilk Iris, unless there is no visible redness or discomfort.
  4. After a Pico Laser treatment, wait 30 days before using the MimiSilk Iris. Similarly, after hyaluronic acid or other injectable treatments, it’s recommended to wait 30 days before using the MimiSilk Iris.
• Are there any side effects, and what are the solutions?

  After each use, the skin may experience a slight redness. In rare cases, due to improper operation or the skin's intolerance to the high-level energy, scabs, blisters or pigmentation may occur. The corresponding solutions include: applying a soothing and moisturizing mask immediately after use, applying a lotion, essence and cream, and applying physical and chemical sunscreen the next day when going out.

• Can Iris 1450nm be used in conjunction with Nova 830nm/415nm?

  For people prone to acne, we recommend using Nova 830nm/415nm and Iris 1450nm. During the period when acne is prone to occur, use Nova 830nm first to treat the acne. • Is MimiSilk Iris 1450nm effective in deep acne scars?

  The effect of "deep acne scars" will weaken, and the usage period needs to be extended. The specific duration depends on the type of acne scar:
  1. Effective type: such as "boxcar" and "rolling" acne scars (depth less than 200 micrometers), a slight filling effect can be seen 8 weeks later, and the effect will be more obvious 12 to 16 weeks later.
