FAQ

• Who can use the MimiSilk Iris Device?

  The MimiSilk Iris laser can be used by anyone over the age of 18. It is safe to use and suitable for 1-5 skin types and tones.

  1.Do not use the Advanced Skin Renewing Device while your skin has skin diseases, wounds, scabs, bleeding, sunburns, tanned skin, or other similar conditions.

  2.Pregnant women and people under 18 years old are not allowed to use this device.

  3.This device is not waterproof, do not store or use it in a humid environment.

  4.Do not look directly at the scanning window when the device is turned on.

  5.Do not use the device while it is charging.

• What areas of the skin can I treat with MimiSilk Iris Device?

  The device is designed with 5 scanning areas seperately based on facial features：

  FOREHEAD

  PERIORBITAL（Left and right)

  CHEEK（Left and right)

  UPPER LIP

  CHIN

  Based on your needs, you can select one or multiple areas for scanning. The indicators of the selected areas will be brightly lit, while the unse - lected areas will remain dimly lit. It is recommended to complete scanning of all areas from top to bottom, following the area indications.

  *For the use of the neck (excluding the thyroid area), chest, and hands, we currently do not have relevant test reports. We recommend using low energy first to observe the effect.

• How long does it take to see results?

  Generally, there will be a relatively obvious effect within 8 weeks.

  1. Significant improvements in skin fine and skin elasticity problems were observed in 83% of subjects, with an average reduction of 43% and a maximum reduction of 62%;

  2. In 89.7% of the subjects with large pores, uneven skin color and dark color, the average improvement of light spots was 71%, and the highest improvement was one 87%;

• How is MimiSilk Iris laser technology different from NIRA laser?

  1. We employ a nanoscale fractional laser technology that is the same as that used in professional medical aesthetic devices. However, many products on the market still rely on the energy-distributed large spot technology(like NIRA), which represents a fundamental technological gap.

  2. Core parameters: The core advantage of the fractional technology lies not in the area it covers per single application, but in the fact that it can divide the laser into millions of extremely tiny beams. Our individual micro-beam has a diameter of only 100 micrometers, ensuring that the energy is highly concentrated and precisely directed to the dermis layer, thereby efficiently stimulating collagen production while avoiding unnecessary damage to the epidermis.

  3. Comparison of results: In contrast, the energy of the large spot technology (such as 2x2mm) is significantly attenuated during transmission, making it difficult to deliver sufficient energy to the dermis layer to generate an effective photothermal effect. The result is naturally greatly compromised.

• What's the difference between MimiSilk Iris and other skincare options(LED and Microcurrent Therapy, Collagen Creams)?

  Iris 1450nm vs. LED Red Light Therapy

  Iris 1450nm is 200x more powerful than traditional LED Red Light Therapy, which operates using low-level light in the 500-1200nm range. LED light does not penetrate deeply enough to stimulate collagen production in the dermis and typically only affects the epidermis and shallow dermis. While LED can improve circulation and stimulate cellular activity, its collagen-stimulating effects are inconsistent and superficial, offering less lasting improvement compared to the deep, science-backed results achieved with Iris 1450nm.

  Iris 1450nm vs. Microcurrent Therapy

  Microcurrent Therapy works by delivering low-level electrical currents to facial muscles, which mimic the body’s natural electrical signals. The primary action of microcurrent is on the muscles, where it can temporarily tighten and tone by improving circulation. However, microcurrent does not penetrate the dermis deeply enough to stimulate collagen production, limiting its effects to temporary muscle toning and superficial lifting rather than collagen remodeling or skin rejuvenation.

  Iris 1450nm vs. Collagen Creams

  Iris 1450nm is about 20x deeper than the surface-level hydration provided by collagen creams. Our laser energy stimulates fibroblast activity in the dermis, directly promoting collagen and elastin production, leading to long-term skin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. In contrast, collagen creams consist of collagen molecules that are too large to penetrate the skin’s barrier, so they only affect the outermost layer, the epidermis. While collagen creams may improve superficial hydration and texture temporarily, they don’t stimulate collagen production in the dermis, offering no substantial long-term effects on skin rejuvenation or wrinkle reduction.

• Do you ship to my country? Do I need to pay customs duties?

  We currently ship to the United States, Canada, Australia, European Union, and selected Asian countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong SAR etc. We offer prepaid duties for all the shipments.

• Can I travel with MimiSilk Iris Device?

  Yes, it's portable, wireless devices that travel well. Each laser is small enough to fit in a carry-on bag, does not need to be plugged in for use, and contains a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. If possible, we recommend packing the device in its original packaging to avoid damage.

• Can the MimiSilk Iris be used after cosmetic treatments like microcurrent or hyaluronic acid injections? Any precautions?

  -After a microcurrent treatment, wait at least 12 hours before using the MimiSilk Iris, provided there is no visible redness or discomfort.

  -After a Pico Laser treatment, wait 30 days before using the MimiSilk Iris.

  -After hyaluronic acid or other injectable treatments, it is recommended to wait 30 days before using the MimiSilk Iris.
